We caught up with local skaters Sky and Lindsey from our most recent shoot to find out where they grab a post-skate bite, their favourite places to roll, and the hidden gems they'd show a friend visiting for the first time…

Do you have a hidden gem or local favourite café we need to know about?

Love Life Café is always my go-to. It’s completely vegan, but trust me… everyone will find something they love. Afterward, head to Dante’s HiFi for incredible music, a fun atmosphere, and the perfect spot to dance or just vibe out with friends over house and jazz.

What’s the best skate route for a cruise with friends?

Ocean Drive, hands down! You’re skating right alongside the beach with plenty of cute cafés, juice bars, and food spots to stop at along the way. When you’re done, kick off your skates and cool off with a dip in the ocean.

What’s one thing everyone should do on a visit to Miami?

Technically it’s just outside of Miami, but Yellow Green Farmers Market is worth the trip every single time. Between the amazing food (shoutout to El Nopalito Vegan Taqueria!), local vendors, fresh produce, live music, and unique finds from local brands/designers, it’s one of my favorite places to spend a day.

What essentials are kept in your skate bag while cruising around town?

A hand fan is non-negotiable: Miami heat is no joke! I also never leave home without bug spray (the mosquitoes definitely don’t care if you’re skating 😂), a reusable water bottle with Liquid I.V. packets to stay hydrated, and a portable speaker so every skate session has the perfect soundtrack.

Watermelon with Mint and Feta Cheese or a Turkey Sandwich from La Sandwicherie

Where do you skate when you feel like switching your brain off?

Miami's Crandon Park Rink right on the beach

Where do you take friends when they visit Miami?

Zey Zey (concert venue) and the Key Biscayne Bridge (for the scenic view of Miami's skyline)
