Impala Community Connections ✨ Meet Zoni Girls
Big skate energy, Arizona style. Paige, Sasha & Tashi are the masterminds behind Zoni Girls—a boutique, rink, and wholesome skate crew bringing together skaters from ALL backgrounds…

Hi Zoni Girls! When and how did this community roll into existence? We’d love to know how it all began! -
Zoni Girls started as a wild idea between three sisters who grew up skating and wanted to help people feel confident in their skin, style, and skates. For us, skating has always been more than just a hobby—it’s how we stay connected as family, especially through tough times. Because of the effect its had on our family, We’re VERY passionate about helping others create lifelong memories of feeling free, like a kid again, and forming real connections with friends, new and old.
We actually started as a clothing line before rolling into our now-infamous pop-up rink, bringing the skate party to festivals, venues, and community events. The energy was undeniable. Now, we have our very own roller rink, complete with our favorite Impala skates as rentals, but we still take the show on the road with pop-ups. Our goal is to keep skating fresh, fun, and accessible while creating an adult-based brand where everyone can come as they are—no cliques, no pressure, just good vibes and a great time.

·  How long have each of you been skating for? We can see from those cute pics on your website, it’s been a while?! - We’ve been on wheels since we could walk! Our dad had the biggest half-pipe in Arizona, known as The Monster, which was featured on Thrasher Magazine back in the day so skating has always been in our blood. Whether it was rolling around our childhood neighborhood or learning new tricks in the park, skating has been a part of our lives from the very start. Our whole family has a different style—boards, blades, jam, park—you name it. But no matter the style, we all share the same love for the freedom, creativity, and culture that skating brings.

·  How does rollerskating empower you and the crew, and what message do you hope to spread to other women and girls in the skate community? - "Helping you feel confident in your skin, style, and skates" is our motto, and we stick to that! Skating is pure confidence on wheels. It teaches you to fall and get back up—both literally and figuratively. It’s about pushing limits, expressing yourself, and finding a community that hypes you up every step of the way.
We want women, girls, and everyone—not just in the skate world but beyond—to know they belong here. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just lacing up for the first time, skating is an outlet, a space where you can be yourself without judgment. The feeling of lacing up and stepping into a space where you’re accepted and celebrated is unmatched. There’s room for every style, vibe, and level, and we’re here to make sure everyone feels that.

·  What advice would you give someone watching from the sidelines, wanting to join the skating community but feeling nervous? - AGH! Come skate with us!!! That’s exactly what our hype skaters would say. Just jump in! The hardest part is starting, but once you do, you’ll realize no one’s judging you—everyone is too busy having fun.
We cheer when you fall, we act silly and wild to remind everyone that skating isn’t about being perfect. It’s not even about progress—it’s just about smiling and enjoying the ride. Start slow, find your groove, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Every skater remembers their first wobbly roll, and we’re all here to hype each other up and be goofy the whole way.
